October 2, 1940 - April 16, 2020
George Nelson Adams was born October 2, 1940 to Mary and Charlie Adams. He received his formal education in the Brunswick County School System. After reaching adulthood, he relocated to Franklin, VA where he was employed Vico Construction Co.
At an early age, he joined Opened Door House of Prayer were the late Bishop Jimmie (Uncle) was pastor.
George was predeceased by his loving sister, Virginia Louise Adams Britt; his parents; Mary and Charlie Adams and a step daughter, Arlinda Barrett. He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife, Mary Adams of Portsmouth, VA; one sister, Virgie D. Byrd of Emporia, VA, two brothers; James Adams of Emporia, VA and Charlie Adams of Franklin, VA; two step daughters; LaVonne Johnson of Portsmouth, VA and Antionette Barrett of Portsmouth, VA and a host of nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
