Frank E. Fate departed this life for eternal rest on Monday, January 29, 2018 in his home. He was born September 12, 1955 to the late James and C. Lee Fate in Wilson County, North Carolina. He was a graduate of Manor High School and a former Transportation Construction Inspector for VDOT.
Frank is survived by three daughters, Tianna N. Hartsfield (Curtis), Tamisha C. Hanks, Shayna L. Fate; seven grandchildren, Adriona, Amoni, Allena, Isaiah, Amari, Inaya and Janeta; siblings, James T. Fate (deceased) formerly of Portsmouth, VA, Carolyn M. Eure of Suffolk, VA, Barbara J. Rhodes (deceased) formerly of Upper Marlboro, MD, Linda A. Rhodes of Hyattsville, MD, M. Jean Fate of Chesapeake, VA and Lois E. Fate of Portsmouth, VA; one uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The celebration of his life will be held Saturday, February 3, 2018, 1 pm at Corprew Funeral Home Chapel, 1822 Portsmouth Blvd., Portsmouth, VA 23704. The family will receive friends at the funeral home an hour prior to the service.
