Finnel Lee Sessoms was born on February 1, 1954, in Chesapeake, VA, to the late Claude and Mattie Sessoms.  He was educated in Chesapeake Public Schools and attended Crestwood and Deep Creek High Schools.

Upon graduation, he served in the United States Air Force.  He later received an apprenticeship in painting and worked for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard.  In his spare time, he enjoyed a good game of Spades, Bid Wiz, and fellowshipping with his brother and buddies to watch sports, always rooting for his LA Rams.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved brother and best friend-Hulon Bernard Sessoms; one nephew-Claude Hilliard Sessoms III; one niece- Catherine Sessoms Blackwell; two special aunts- Mildred Delores Rice and Edith Maxine Thomas Brown; two special cousins-Daphney Waggoner and Angela Brooks; one sister-in-law-Zueleanor Sessoms; and a host of other relatives and friends.
