Elva Wilkerson Blow slipped quietly from us on Thursday, April 30, 2020. Elva was born October 22, 1924 in Southampton County, Virginia, where she attended the public schools. She was the youngest child of the late Robert and Stella Pope Wilkerson. She relocated to the Hampton Roads area in her early adult life. Elva united with the love of her life, Elwood, on July 13, 1946. Together they became loving and devoted parents to four daughters, Eveline Bush, Vivian Knight (Phillip), Darryi and Gloria. Elwood predeceased her in death on December 13, 2009, after 63 years of marriage. Elva became a devoted member of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Ruby Watson, where she attended until her health began to decline. She was a member of the St. Mark Missionary Senior Ministry in the church. Her favorite hobbies were traveling and shopping. Elva was the last surviving member of her family of two sisters; Betty Peeples and Irene Ford, eight brothers: Albright Wilkerson, Eddie Wilkerson, Julian Wilkerson and Robert Wilkerson Jr.

She now leaves to continue her legacy her four daughter; Eveline, Vivian, Darryi and Gloria; one grandson; Phillip Lamont Knight; one great loving grandson, Phillip Knight Jr; one deceased grandson, Jacquard Columbus Bush and one great grand dog, Little Pia and a host of nieces and nephews.
