Ebony Taylor was born January 28, 1990 to Alexander Hunt and Davetta Gant-Weera and went home with the Lord on April 16, 2018.
Ebony love spending time with her children and family, going out to the movies, eating out, creating jewelry, doing natural hair, working on decorative pillows and going to both her grandma’s houses to see what they were cooking.
Ebony was employed at CHKD hospital for two years.
Ebony was predeceased by her maternal great grandmother Carolyn Lawhorne; maternal great grandfather, Albert Thomas; paternal grandmother, Pauline Hunt; paternal grandfather, William Hunt; step-father, Chilli and maternal grandfather, Glenn Pembleton.
Ebony is survived by her husband Keith; two daughters, Aunistee and Ava; grandfather, David Gant; grandmother, Alisha Pembleton; six sisters, Nicki Ratliff (Ronnie), Fenelle Gant, Destiny Bowdre (Michael), Quera Hunt, Nia Blake, Trinity Hunt; one brother, Alexander T. Hunt; mother-in-law, Evelyn Ransom (John); two sisters-in-law, Kaire and Jasmine Taylor; ten aunts, Katina Gant, Maxine Lawhorn, Mattie Gant, Brenda Gant, Beverly Wright, Joyce Green, Crystal Cradle, Barbara Hunt, Elaine Dickens, and Erlaine Dickens; 6 uncles, Concepcion Lawhorne, Andre Parker (Pam), Tjuan Gant, William Hunt, Sidney Hunt (Virginia), Ramel Jasier; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A celebration of Ebony’s life will be held on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, 12 noon at St. Mark Church of Deliverance, 3801 Turnpike Rd., Portsmouth, VA 23701. Interment will be in Olive Branch Cemetery, Portsmouth.
