While in New York she attended and graduated from Wilfred Academy Beauty School. She also enrolled and graduated from the Queens College CNA program. She returned to Jamaica for a short time but returned to USA. Doris lived in Virginia in the home of the late Rabbi H. Z. Plummer GFA and the late L. Bernice Plummer GMS.
