On Sunday, October 18, 2020, God quietly transitioned Dedria A. Bazemore to His eternity in the sky.

Dedria was born to the late Rudolph W. & Margaret S.L. Bazemore in Portsmouth, VA on October 31, 1964. She graduated from Manor High School, Class of 1984.

Dedria was a phenomenal mother to her infamous “4 boys”, Demetrius T. Lynch, Darrell E. Lynch, DeAngelo S. Lynch (Derek T. Lynch), and DaShawn E. Brown (Earlwood Brown). She was a hard-working woman and spent several dedicated years at QVC, Apex & National Linen; until she pursued her true passion of caring for others and providing home healthcare. Dedria was a woman of impeccable character; integrity and loyalty who loved to eat crab and spend time with her family.

Dedria was preceded in death by her husbands, Derek T. Lynch and James Bazemore; parents Rudolph W. & Margaret S.L. Bazemore. Her legacy is carried on by her children Demetrius T. Lynch, Darrell E. Lynch, DeAngelo S. Lynch, and DaShawn E. Brown all of Portsmouth, VA; her other set of “parents” Raymond E. & Leverthra S. Siler; a host of nieces and nephews Yolanda L. Beasley, Teya M. Long, Antonio A. Staton, Rufus H. Porter, Jr., Derek A. Foskey, Takia T. Willis, Leticia R. Bazemore, Kimberly M. Porter, Ta’Von L. Felton, Keefe T. Bazemore, and Keith K. Bazemore

Great nieces & nephews: Nelphia L. Pettway, Bennie J. Pettway III, Jasmine D. Staton, Jalin A. Gordon, Teon J. Long, Takiyah M. Gregor, Jalen J. Foskey, Jalin S. Long, Taylor Willis, Jayden D. E. Baker, Alexandria Bazemore, Amaya L. Staton, Ajanay Bazemore, Avianna Hankerson, and D’Asia A. Gibson

 

Great-Great nieces & nephews: Bennie J. Pettway IV, Tabias A. Pettway, and J’Ya Ali Boone

 

Dedria also leaves a few who she considered sisters Deborah Howell, Mildred Sanders, Mertis Macon-White, Kimberly R. Britton, and Deneen Scherrie among a host of other close friends.
