David Sylvester Reese, also known as Snookum Roll of Portsmouth, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2023, at 84 years old.
David was born on February 19,1939 to John Reese Sr and Helen Horton. He was a shipfitter for Brooklyn Naval Shipyard.
Where he later graduated Trade School at Norfolk State University. He was also a choir member and Trustee at ST. Paul AME Church.
He has three daughters with his first wife Betty. He was recognized as Man of the Year. David was predeceased by his parents, his sister Gloria Williams and his brother John Henry Reese Jr.
David is survived by his wife Bonita Tabron, his daughters Rhonda Bangura (Amada Bangura) of Staten Island, NY. Kathryn Peterson (James Peterson) of Atlanta, GA. Davida Reese, and his sisters Helen Elliott and Violet Johnson. His grandchildren- Kadiaja Taylor, Felicia Henry, Destiny Banjura, Reginald Reese, Nikkia Reese, Brandon Reese, Tiffany Reese, Terrell Reese ,Tayshia Reese and his nine step children Regina Tabron and Thomasina Tabron and his special grandchild Tyree Tabron. And a host of greatgrandchildren of 35.
