Clever A. Daye was born on July 01, 1954, in Conway, North Carolina to the late Anthony and Leola Daye. He was lovingly called “Big Junie” by his cousins and “Fish Man” by others. When it seemed as if life had knocked him off his feet, he got up brushed himself off and kept moving forward. Clever received his GED. He was very dedicated to his craft as a roofer. He gave his life to the Lord.
Clever leaves to cherish his memories a son- Jequille A. Winborne-Daye (Dover, DE); daughter- Jekiah Nesbit (Chesapeake, VA); seven grandchildren, niece-Shalonda Smith (Norfolk, VA); 2 great nieces- Alicia Daye(Norfolk, VA) and Desha Daye (Newport News, VA); great nephew- Elijah Daye (Norfolk, VA); four aunts-Mary Joyner, Irene Bowman of Brooklyn, New York, Ann and Sara of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; 2 uncles-Ed Lewis (Wyoma) Robertson and Larry Robertson (Portsmouth, VA); a host of cousins and friends. He will be greatly missed.
“Resting In His Arms”
Don’t mourn for me, for now I’m resting in his arms. I looked up to the sky that God created by hand for me. I closed my eyes when I heard his call. I found peace in knowing that I was going to rest in his arms. Allow the fond memories that we all shared to comfort you. Find peace because I’m “Resting In His Arms”. From Your Niece Shalonda Smith, I Love You
