Bertha Williams Mullen was called Home on January 22nd 2021. Mrs. Bertha Mullen affectionately known as “Mother” was born to the late George and Mariah Williams, on September 26, 1919 in Elizabeth City, NC. She was a member of Divine Baptist Church, Chesapeake, VA for over 80-plus years where she served in several capacities. She was a member of the Usher Board and Nurses Ministry. She was married to the late Carey Mullen and to this union 3 children were raised in a loving home: Bernette, Sylvester and Isaac. When she was not working in the yard, you could find her watching sports, the Atlanta Braves and the Washington Football Team were her favorite Baseball and Football Teams.
