Bennie Mills, Sr., 72, departed this life on December 4, 2016 at Autumn Care of Portsmouth. He was educated in the Portsmouth Public School System and was employed at the Naval Air Station for four years. He was a dedicated and faithful member of the Prentis Park Seventh-day Adventist Church of Portsmouth where he served as a Deacon.
Bennie was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Mills and his mother, Rebecca Taylor.
He leaves to cherish his memory, two sons, Chuck A. Mills (Renita) of Georgia and Bennie Mills Jr. of Portsmouth; one daughter, Dana L. Mills (Chris) of Norfolk; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and host of other relatives and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, December 9th, 11 am at Prentis Park Seventh-day Adventist Church, 3709 Winchester Drive, Portsmouth. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Condolences can be sent to corprewfuneralhome.net.
