On February 5th, 2020, our dear mother, grandmother, sister, niece, cousin, and friend, Belinda Parker Avery, passed away.

Belinda Parker Avery, daughter of late Cherry D. Grant and John Copeland, was born on June 27th, 1959. Belinda had 9 brothers and sisters: Diane Giles, Melody Ward and Andrea Hall (predeceased) and leaves behind to cherish her memories, Joann Hall, Roberta Hall, Kimberly McInnis, Veronica Grant, Carlton Hall, and Keith Hall. She has 3 children: Arnesha Avery, 28, Andre Avery (Stephanie), 34 and Anthony Parker, 41 and 6 grandchildren; Raheem Smith, 21, Ja’saun Smith, 18, Khiree Bates, 14, Dominique Carpenter, 14, Annabella Avery, 2 and Averii Brown, 6 months. Belinda was a kind-hearted woman whose smile would light up a room. Belinda was loved and respected by all those that knew her. She was a fun-loving person that loved all those around her, especially her newly born grandbaby Averii! She had a few nicknames; Billy Sue by her daughter and Linda Sue by her sisters. Even through her bad times, she still made those around her laugh, spoke her mind and told you like it was. She loved to watch her westerns, soap operas, and game shows. Belinda loved to play backgammon and could beat anyone in card games. Her favorite meal was meatloaf, macaroni and cheese, greens and cornbread. She loved to dance, listen to music and crack jokes with her loved ones. She spent her last few years in a facility, still spunky as ever and was loved and adored by many of the staff and patients.

Even though she is no longer with us, we will all carry her in our hearts and minds. We will grieve the loss of our beloved Belinda Avery, but we are at peace knowing she is no longer in pain or suffering….. WE LOVE YOU ALWAYS
