Beatrice S. Johnson, 89, departed this life on July 8, 2016. She was born in Hertford County, NC to Herbert Simmons and Minnie Rock Simmons on March 17, 1927. She was a faithful member of Mt. Olive Church (Christ of Holiness) for 40 plus years where she served on the usher board until her health declined.
Beatrice was preceded in death by a son John L. Johnson. She leaves to cherish her memories, seven daughters, Jean Mitchell (Stan), Celestine Lacey (John), Christine Johnson, Gloria White, Linda Lacey (Paul), Iris Harrison, Patsy Armistead (Jerry); three sons, Rudolph Johnson, Roy Johnson, and Michael Johnson (Adriene).
A wake will be held on Tuesday, July 12th from 6 pm to 8 pm at Corprew Funeral Home and the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2016, 12 Noon at Corprew Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
