Born in Portsmouth, Virginia, to James and Julia Crump, he lived most of his life in Portsmouth Virginia and relocated to Atlanta GA, in 2009. After graduation he joined the U.S. Navy where he served as a radioman for four years. Arrington then began his civilian career at the Norfolk Naval Air Rework Facility. Starting as an aircraft electrician, he progressed thru several positions of increasing responsibility and ended his career as a Supervisor of Methods and Standards. He was a dedicated trustee of his home church, supporting numerous activities including men’s day programs, serving as an usher, helping with facility maintenance and much more. Full of a zest for life, he took pride in how he dressed, his conversations were witty, and his grandchildren thought he was the coolest Granddaddy or Pop, around.

Arrington is survived by his wife and the love of his life, Marguerite Carthella Churchill. They were married for 64 years. He is also survived by his son Daryll L. Crump (Sadell) and his daughter Lynn Crump Caine (John), his brothers James Crump (Joyce) and Stephen Crump (Alexis) and many loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his daughters Alice N. Crump, and Terri Crump. Arrington was a loving husband, father, and friend to everyone.
