On Monday, November 7, 2022, the Lord dispatched His Heavenly angels to guide Annette Williams, 62, back to her eternal home to reside with Him forever.  Annette transitioned peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family.

 

On January 14, 1960, Annette was the third born of six girls to the late Barbara Ann Harmon and James Columbus Williams.

 

Annette was educated in the Portsmouth Public School System where she attended Woodrow Wilson High School.  She also received additional training at Tidewater Community College.  Annette worked at Maryview Hospital in Portsmouth, VA, as a Dietary Aide for several years.

 

Annette accepted Christ into her life at a young age and was best known for being the light, love and life of the party.  She loved entertaining her family and friends by cooking, listening to music and dancing.

 

Annette leaves a multitude of family and friends to treasure her bright and loving memories to include a son-Jema’a Williams (AA) of Oklahoma City, OK; a daughter-Jeru’sha Williams (Rusha) of Newport News, VA; a grandson-Donovan Newton (US Army);one granddaughter Addison Williams; a goddaughter-Zaniyah Hines (NuNu); five sisters-Avis Rodgers (predeceased), Beverly Ellis of Las Vegas, NV, Vanessa Jumawan of Portsmouth, VA, Melissa Harmon-Preuitt (Martin) of Oxnard, CA and Petrina Harmon of Portsmouth, VA.

 

She also leaves a very special friend of 27 years, Calvin “Soul Dog” Hargrove, as well as three aunts-Remonia, Marcia and Betty; one uncle-Raymond, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
