On Wednesday, January 29, 2020, the valiant fight with Cancer ended. No more pain, no more tears. Our angel has earned her wings. Our Angela D. (Angie B) Banks has gone on to eternal rest.

 

She was a member of Covenant Community Church of Suffolk, Va, where her lovely, friendly personality and always pleasant smile will be missed by her family and all who knew her.

 

She was born to the late Floyd and Delorse Lawrence of Portsmouth, Va. on February 28, 1965. She was a graduate of Churchland High School and later Graduate of Tidewater Community College School of Nursing. Over her 25 year carer she was employed at Maryview Hospital, Sentara General, Children’s Hospital of the Kings Daughters, and lastly the Veterans Administration hospital in Hampton where she served as a Hospice Nurse.

 

She leaves behind her loving husband Kenneth J. Banks, Sr., her three wonderful sons: Kenneth J. Banks II (Lauren), Sean A. Banks (Ashanti), and Ryan J. Banks. Four beautiful grandchildren: Aniya  Omopariola, Kenneth Banks III, Auston Banks, and Eva Banks. Her devoted siblings: Tony Lawrence (Margaret), Deborah Bracy (David), Floyd Lawrence, Jr. (Deceased), Adrienne Ellis (James), Felicia Thomas (Shelby), Sheila Lawrence, and Tamara King (Rudnel). Admired In-Laws: Michael Banks (Sylinda), Terence Banks (Mary), Alphonso Banks (Malita), and loving Mother-in-Law Barbara A. Banks. Also never forgotten nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family co-workers and friends.
