On Friday, October 1, 2021 at 3:17pm, our beloved Ahmajae Jamaal Lee was tragically taken from us at CHKD Norfolk, Virginia.  He was born to Nedra Adamson on August 18, 2007, at 1:53pm.  DonJaneh Small, who he knew as Dad, helped raise him from birth until October 1, 2021.  He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Carl Morse.

Ahmajae was full of life, outspoken, the joker himself.  A very unbothered child, so much until it bothered his mom.  Ahmajae loved the girls, loved to smell and look good.  He had a love for his brother in a very unique way, they were called ‘Frick and Frack”.  He attended Douglas Park Elementary, Cradock Middle and just started as a freshman at I.C. Norcom High School.  He was very active in community sports and played for POP Warner Football Organization under the direction of Coach Thomas.  He recently was a basketball player for the Portsmouth City Sports, Inc. under the leadership of Vice Mayor De’Andre Barnes.  His NFL team was the DALLAS COWBOYS.

Ahmajae often would attend First Baptist South Portsmouth with his grandmother Carolyn Leary.

Ahmajae leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Nedra Adamson and DonJaneh Small; one brother, Derion Small; maternal grandmother, Olivia Adamson-Delk (Robert) of Suffolk; paternal grandmother, Carolyn Leary (Carl deceased); aunts-Chevelva Adamson, Aisha Lee, and Cherice Simmons all of Portsmouth; uncles-Shawn Newton of Virginia Beach, Chanse Miller, Jamell Lee and Antoine Lee of Portsmouth and Desmond Myles of New York; special god-daddy and mentor, Antonio Howell and god-mother, Monique Harris of Portsmouth; god-brother and his best friend, Rah’marri David; two special cousins, Sincere Johnson of Portsmouth and Shakira Lee also of Portsmouth; and a host of cousins, other family and friends.
